Die Astronauts waren in ihrem Heimatstaat ungeheuer beliebt und eine grandiose Surf Band, ihrer Zeit weit voraus. Ihr Hit 'Baja' zählt zu den besten Gitarreninstrumentals aller Zeiten. There's just no reasonable explanation why one of the greatest surf bands ever came from, of all places, the relatively sea-less state of Colorado - but that's a fact.
