(2001 'Delmark') (64:20/13) Abgesehen von dem 1991er Album auf 'Earwig' gab's bislang kein weiteres Studioalbum von diesem Westside-Musiker. 'Mad Dog' singt ausdrucksstark und mit viel Gefühl. Sein Harpspiel ist eher durchschnittlich. Und doch ist dies ein hörenswertes Album, Dank der Mitwirkung von Dawkins als Produzent und Gitarrist - und auch der Rest der Musiker ist exquisit. Sicherlich kein sensationelles Album, doch eins, das Freunden des Chicago Blues Spass machen wird.

His only studio CD, until now, appeared in 1991 on the 'Earwig' label. Davenport is a soulful blues singer from Chicago's west side, and a solid but not outstanding harp player. Anyhow, this is a beautiful album, especially thanks to the support and co-operation of Davenport's westside buddy, Jimmy Dawkins who produced and also played. This ain't no sensational release; but it's one that lovers of well-performed Chicago style blues will appreciate.
