(2005/ROCKSTAR) 30 tracks (Hollywood & London sessions) In 1989 'Rockstar' released the vinyl LP 'Important Words' by Gene Vincent, which contained various studio out-takes, including false stars and dialogue. This important CD release contains all the songs from that album in this format for the first time, plus thirteen previously unissued versions. The additional tracks were recorded by Gene at the 'Capitol Tower' in Hollywood and Abbey Road Studios in London, and showcase a variety of styles which were recorded during the period 1958-61. These tracks were supervised by the legendary producers Ken Nelson (USA) and Norrie Paramour (UK). The recordings highlight Gene's versatility, performing anything from Rock 'N' Roll standars, such as 'Maybelline' and 'Rip It Up', as well as ballads like 'You Are The One For Me' and 'Where Have You Been All My Life'. 'Spaceship To Mars' was featured by Gene in the UK movie 'It's Trad, Dad' released in 1962.
