(1998 'Cannonball') (49:48/11) 'Gonna have a few drinks, gonna party my blues away!' - ein gutaufgelegter Johnny B. und seine hervorragende Band liefern ein unterhaltsames Programm ab. Es geht von tanzbaren Shuffles bis hin zu 'low down' Blues. Vielleicht besitzt dieses neue Album nicht mehr die Überraschungsmomente seiner letzten Veröffentlichungen, steht den Vorgängern qualitativ aber in nichts nach. Gut.

Johnny B. and his excellent band love to play, and it shows! All originals, with the exception of three cuts. This is a superb album although it doesn't have those surprise momentums the last ones possessed. Put it on, turn it up, and have yourself a blues party.
