Produzent Larry Skoller hat vielmehr ein spannendes Projekt initiiert, das in diesem Sommer auf große Tournee geht. Hier geht es nicht darum, etwas Vergangenes künstlich am Leben zu erhalten. Diese Gruppe exquisiter Musiker bildet das direkte Link zu den Großen der Vergangenheit und Gegenwart. Als Revue präsentiert Skoller einen unterhaltsamen und kurzweiligen Trip durch die Geschichte des elektrischen Blues in Chicago, von den Anfängen mit dem ersten Sonny Boy Williamson und Tampa Red bis in die Gegenwart zu James Cotton und Buddy Guy. Und das ist zu keiner Zeit langweilig, vielmehr erstaunlich kreativ und vor Spielfreude nahezu überquellend. Das Projekt wird im 36-seitigen Booklet ausführlich beschrieben. Es gibt Biografien zu den historischen Vorbildern und den aktuellen Musikern. Sehr zu empfehlen!
