Ähnlich wie auf 'Rocket Number 9' liefert Jason auch hier eine begeisternde Mischung aus roher Energie, durchdachten Arrangements und Spielbegeisterung ab. Als Sänger passt er überhaupt nicht ins Bluesklischee; als Instrumentalist geht er neue Wege, und auch seine Songs sind anders: Mal groovt's, dann wird's jazzig-elegant. Jason experimentiert - und das ist gut so. Starkes Album, nicht nur für Harp-Fans mit offenen Ohren.

Another great set from Jason, one of the younger blues rebellions. Exciting combination of raw power, sophisticated arrangements and the pure love to play. He's a great instrumentalist, entering new trails. His music grooves and rocks. As a vocalist, he doesn't really fit into the blues clich‚ which makes the album even more attractive - not just for harmonica fans with open ears. Recommended.
