Gefühlvoll gespielte Slowblues-Nummern wechseln sich mit souligen, teils funkigen Nummern ab. Seine Stimme erinnert an B.B.King oder Bobby Bland. Ein weiteres exzellentes Produkt aus dem Hause 'Black Magic'!

Southern soul blues singer Lee Shot Williams, a mainstay on the black blues and soul circuit, recorded in Chicago. Dick Shurman produced this fine session for the great Dutch 'Black Magic' label. I'm especially digging the slow blues cuts featuring Tony Z. of Ronnie Earl and Larry McCray fame; the funkier soul blues tracks are worth a listen, too. Great album!
