Recorded in the Netherlands. The guitar slinger from the Pacific Northwest is back with a superb record. After a couple of rather successful releases, Amundson had almost disappeared from Europe's scene. I'm glad he's back with such a potential release. Thanks must also go to co-producer Boyd Small who seems to be responsible for the new direction in songs and sound. The early influence of SRV is still there. But today's there's a lot more to Big Monti's blues. Great songs and arrangements, excellent sound. This is one of the finest contemporary guitar blues albums I heard in a while.
