Neben Blues mit bekannten Mustern gibt es ungewöhnliche Ideen, Arrangements und Kombinationen, die an die Blütezeit des 'Stax'-Soul in Memphis erinnern. Seine Stimme ist gereift und klingt absolut authentisch. Die Qualität der Musiker ist erstklassig. Insgesamt ein herausragendes, für europäische Verhältnisse sensationell gutes Album!

Since his 2002 debut, Mike Andersen and his music have matured. The band has developed its own sound that comes across more contemporary. Was the debut CD re-working the big band blues of the 1940s-1960s, this set of originals provides unique arrangements. The 'Stax' sound comes to my mind. Andersen ist an accomplished guitar player. But waht surprises me the most of are his soulful vocals. Great musicianship, throughout. An outstanding release. A little sensation considering this a Danish band and recording!!.
