the opening tune reminds me of the good old days with Buddy Guy and Junior Wells. I felt like being thrown-back to the 'Hoodoo Man Blues' session in Chicago. The other tracks are louder and rougher, perfectly recorded, filled with enthusiasm. This is pure blues, anything but slick. Down home and dirty, rough and mean. Even if you would call Shah a minor harp player, he's got soul. Along with his long-time guitar-playing partner Shah produces some of the most honest, straight-forward harmonica blues of today.
