Nach seinem Bluesrock-Album auf Bear Family nun eine rein akustische Produktion, bei der das Augenmerk auf Daves eigenen Songs liegt. Er schreibt sehr persönliche Lieder, die er mit großer technischer Finesse umsetzt. Auch wenn's kein Blues im engen Sinne ist, so doch ein Album mit einem äußerst intensiven Gefühl. Die Mitwirkung von Hank Shizzoe bei drei Titeln bringt noch einmal das gewisse Etwas. Hervorragende audiophile Aufnahme! Für alle Freunde exzellenter akustischer Produktionen!

the Canadian guitarist and singer/songwriter has recorded the first album in our new roots music CD series. Shortly after the release of his live album on Bear Family Records, Dave changed his musical concept from heavy rocking blues to down-to-earth acoustic music. He's the writer of beautiful, very personal tunes and is accompanying himself on guitar and National steel. Extra flavor's delivered by Hank Shizzoe, one of Europe finest experts when it comes to acoustic picking. Although no blues, this is a very intense, almost intimate recording with audiophile quality.
