CrossCut Records' first concert video on DVD is presenting one of the most fascinating European blues combos, B.B. & The Blues Shacks. Since its foundation in the beginning of the 1990s, the band led by the Arlt brothers has played more than 1,500 shows. They've toured all over western Europe, but also the U.S.A. and Russia. With their unique style that's strongly shaped by the music from the heydays of urban blues and rhythm'n'blues from the 1940s and 1950s they have captured the hearts of thrilled audiences. With their own great original material, the band is far above the crowd of cheap imitators. Director Markus Wustmann figured out exactly how to capture B.B. & The Blues Shacks on film. His movie, as intended, entertains. By no means is it a documentary video. The powerful colors are emphasizing the picture of a hard working blues band with class, still having lot of fun although they are totally concentrated. As a bonus (approx. 20 mns) , the DVD includes various home stories, the B.B.'s in a more private setting. The DVD comes in an exclusive DVD(digi)-pak with an 8-page full-color booklet.
