In 1952, the career of Italian-American crooner Frankie Laine took an unexpected turn when producer Mitch Miller brought him the theme song of the Gary Cooper film, 'High Noon', to record. Laine's version was a hit, and suddenly Hollywood was calling him to sing Western film and television themes: 'Rawhide', 'Gunfight At O.K. Corral', and 'The Hanging Tree', among others. This 21-song collection of 1952-'63 recordings, much of it from sessions led by John Williams, includes all of Laine's best-known Western performances.
