Obwohl diese Single, Slow Down/A Fool For Lovin' You (Sun 240), ein regionaler Hit war, entschied sich Jack gegen Tourneen ' er unterstützte mit Hilfe seines Jobs lieber seine Familie und spielte abends Musik in Memphis. -- Während der mittsechziger Jahre zog Jack ' wie so viele andere Familien aus dem Süden ' in den Norden, sie ließen sich in Detroit, Michigan, nieder. Jack fuhr LKWs für Chrysler und bewegte sich innerhalb der seit langem etablierten Country-Szene der Stadt. Die Fans seiner Sun-Aufnahmen entdeckten ihn während der 70er-Jahre neu, und er spielte weitere Platten für Gary Thompsons Olympic-Label in Detroit ein ' und bewies so, dass seine Stimme an Kraft und Ausdruck noch gewonnen hatte. Jack drove trucks for the Chrysler Corporation, and swam in the long-established country scene of the city. Rediscovered by fans of his Sun recordings during the 1970s, Jack made more records for Gary Thompson's Olympic label in Detroit, showing the world that his voice had grown in power and expression. Since the nineties, Jack has headlined at rockabilly and rock'n'roll festivals across Europe and the United States.
