Niederlanden,
bestehend aus
Ilse DeLange
und Waylon,
vertrat beim
Eurovision Song
Contest 2014 in Kopenhagen ihr Heimatland.Gegründet
wurden die Common Linnets 2013 als offenes Projekt, das
Ilse mit wechselnden Gesangspartnern immer wieder neu
definieren wolte. Doch die musikalische „Beziehung“
zwischen Ilse und Waylon reicht schon lange zurück: Bereits
als Teenager sangen und komponierten die beiden
zusammen. Waylon – eigentlich Willem Bijkerk – nennt sich
nach seinem Idol Waylon Jennings, mit dem er 2001 im
Epizentrum des Country schlechthin, in Nashville,
zusammengearbeitet hat. „Zwei Stimmen, zwei Gitarren und

Eurovision Song Contest 2014 - Platz 2.-The Common
Linnets are Ilse Delange (World Of Hurt, After The Hurricane)
and Waylon. Together they found a new and exciting
challenge in expressing their love for Country music. Writing
brought Ilse and Waylon to the epicenter of Country music,
Nashville, where both Ilse and Waylon feel very much at
home. The Common Linnets’ album consists of thirteen
emotional songs that deal with hurt and misfortune, but also
with hope, comfort and love. In their purity and sincerity,
expressed in heavenly harmonies.
