One of the most frequently asked
questions at the Hank Snow Home Town
Museum in Liverpool, Nova Scotia is,
“Where can I find a copy of
...
?”
Every Hank
Snow fan has their favorite song. Some are
Snow’s well-known hits, while others are
more obscure cuts from favorite albums.
Shortly after the museum opened in 1997, the staff began keeping a tally of requested songs from
visitors, as well as from the many letters, phone calls and emails received by the museum. As a
special celebration of the 100
th
anniversary of Hank Snow’s birth, the museum partnered with Bear
Family Records to produce the collection you’re currently holding.
The Friends of Hank Snow Society was founded in 1991 with the goal of establishing a museum
for Canada’s greatest country music star. The museum opened in 1997 in the restored Liverpool Rail
Station and is
“dedicated to the preservation and promotion of our local country music culture and
heritage, the accomplishments of Hank Snow in particular and Atlantic Canadian country music in
general.”
