The second world war was over, the ballroom kings were back in business,
but the times were changing. The old established order was being challenged
by a new breed of country singer and musician; furthermore, a new, vibrant
form of country music was developing. Many seasoned performers, recognizing
that change was inevitable, embraced the exciting new genre wholeheartedly.
