Es enthält die Nummer-1-Hits „You Keep Me Hangin' On” und „Love Is Here and Now You're Gone”. Alle Songs wurden vom Hauptsongwriting-Team von Motown, Holland-Dozier-Holland, geschrieben und produziert. Der Großteil des Albums wurde im Frühjahr und Sommer 1966 aufgenommen. Das Album enthält auch Coverversionen von H-D-H-Songs für Motown-Künstler wie The Isley Brothers („I Guess I'll Always Love You”), The Four Tops („It's the Same Old Song”, „I'll Turn to Stone”) und Martha and the Vandellas („Heat Wave”).
