Bobby Wayne: The Way To San Quentin (LP)

Bobby Wayne – The Way To San Quentin ist eine ungewöhnliche Sammlung von Rockabilly-Murder-Ballads und rauen Country-Songs aus dem Pacific Northwest. Das 15 Titel umfassende Album enthält weitgehend bislang unveröffentlichtes Material und präsentiert Bobby Waynes markante, tiefe Stimme in einem reduzierten, direkten Sound. Songs wie San Quentin (Intro), The Way To San Quentin, Thirteen Miles To Birmingham, Kill All The Lawyers, Public Enemy No. 1 und Uncle Sam's Got My Number zeichnen ein düsteres Bild von Gefängnis, Gesetzesbruch und Außenseitern. Queen Of Hearts, Together We Stand, Yuma Prison, Pistol Packin' Mama, Forever More, Prisoner Song und The Twelfth Of May ergänzen das Programm. Für Rockabilly-Fans, Country-Sammler und Liebhaber ungewöhnlicher historischer Aufnahmen.
