Das Album wurde vom ehemaligen BR549 Leadsänger Chuck Mead produziert. Die Songs berufen sich auf eine breite Palette der wichtigsten Mitwirkenden der Country-Musik, fangen die klassischen Einflüsse der Band ein und bringen sie direkt in die Gegenwart.

Chuck Mead Einfluss ist in jedem Stück unverkennbar zu spüren. So wie seine eigene Band Mitte der 1990er Jahre ein neues Interesse an Honky-Tonk und Western Swing weckte, so wird Mead in den 2020er Jahren sicherlich die Fackel an The Shootouts weiterreichen.
