That's not bop as in the jazz-based mode – but instead, the lively dancefloor style that first sprung up during the rockabilly years – presented here in all of its glory on a whole host of rare, raw rockers from back in the day! There's plenty of guitar and a bit of twang in the mix – sounds that are mostly in the Sun Records side of the spectrum, but from much more obscure artists overall – collected with the great ear for a unique tune that makes us love Bear Family compilations so much!
